I searched around to find a Presidential Candidate Website of someone that is not that well known that I do not know their political views before hand so I can write a good rhetorical analysis of the website.
So I decided to do Mark Sanford at the above website.
The main page of Mr. Sanford's web site is very plain and not very eye catching at all, the font they used is a small times roman on a white background it makes his site seem very cold and uninviting. As for the pictures he has on the site there is only one of himself and it is a standard head shot and he is smiling which is a good point.
To make this site more eye drawing to the voter I would have had a color background a more appealing font in a accent color that would pop out at you. I would have used a more family oriented pictures since states Conservative values on his main page. Instead of listing his views just in a paragraph form I think it would catch the viewers attention more if he had the site arranged with symbols to go with his stated ideals. Follow up on those ideas with examples of how they would work.
On his page list I think the click on symbol could be more political since he is running for office the short phrase leads are good they are to the point. Once you go to the selected page you are again hit with that cold font and paragraph style they need to be more colorful and again much more appealing to the audience he is trying to communicate to. I myself would lean more to the patriotic this is just my opinion of the Conservative audience he is conveying his message to.
I know it is good to put all your past accomplishments on the campaign trail when you are running for office, but don't make it a listing I think it would work better if he offered his platform and why he believes it would work and tie it into his past decisions. Make it so the average person understands his thoughts a beliefs and where they will eventually lead to in the future.
